Thank you for your participation! The Napa 2040 General Plan has been adopted on October 18, 2022. See below for more information about the General Plan Update process prior to adoption, including how the draft General Plan was presented to and discussed by the Napa City Council and the Planning Commission, with multiple rounds of edits that responded to comments made by the Council, Commission, and the public.

Past Event - City Council Hearing to Certify Final EIR and Adoption of Final General Plan

The City Council held a public hearing to consider the 2040 General Plan on September 20, 2022, during which 40 speakers provided comments. Upon receiving public comment, the City Council took action to adopt a resolution certifying the Environmental Impact Report (EIR) and advance the hearing on the General Plan to October 18, subject to edits related to the public’s concerns. In addition to the edits recommended by City Council, City staff also provided clarifying edits to Chapter 1 of the General Plan to better reflect the history of the Rural Urban Limit line (RUL).

Past Event - General Plan Public Review Draft Release

This webinar, led by the project team, kicked-off the public review period of the Draft General Plan. The Public Review and Comment Period provided an opportunity for the public to learn more about the Draft General Plan and provide feedback. This webinar was hosted on February 16, 2022.

Past Event - Virtual Open House 

During this event, participants were able to provide comments on the Draft Element Framework Documents from April 8-16th, 2021. The commenting period is now closed, however you are still able to read the Draft Frameworks and others’ comments by clicking on icons below. Thank you for your participation!

Previous Workshop: Napa Urban Design and Land Use Approach Concepts Survey

Surveys were closed on July 26, 2020. We received over 550 responses and hundreds of comments from the community on the Napa Concepts Survey as well as feedback on each focus area during the land use workshop and follow-up surveys. Thank you to all those who participated and submitted comments. Your feedback has been invaluable to help craft a General Plan that builds upon the livability in Napa. The urban design and land use approach videos for each focus area are posted below.
